A second x-ray that has been sent to either OVC or OFA for verification must be provided before a replacement is given. If it is found that there was excessive stress previous to the three years of age (i.e. jogging, jumping, overweight, pregnancy, etc) the above guarantee does not apply. Results from the Penn-Hip exam are not accepted. If the animal has to be euthanized for any other genetic defect before the age of three years, a full report from two different veterinarians must be forwarded to the breeder’s veterinarian for verification before a replacement will be given. Any bitch who has met the above conditions may be bred to produce no more than four litters in her lifetime and not after seven years of age. If the said dog is used for breeding purposes, the breeder has the right to confiscate the dog at full expense to the buyer with no refund to be given.

7. The buyer agrees that if for any reason he/she is unable to look after the puppy, the breeder will be notified. The breeder will have the right of the first refusal to purchase the animal at the price of $600, dependant upon the age, training etc.

The buyer agrees to keep the dog in proper physical condition, to keep all vaccinations up to date, and to provide a safe environment for the animal (i.e. kennel run, fenced yard, not running loose). If in the opinion of the breeder the animal is at risk due to the actions or faults of the buyer, the breeder will repossess the animal with a full, partial, or no refund of the purchase price at the breeder’s discretion. All papers including the CKC and/or AKC registration certificate(s) will be returned to the breeder at the time of the repossession. Should it be necessary to enforce any part of this contract by legal means, the buyer will be responsible for all legal expenses. No part of this contract is transferable.

My Contract: Part II
The majority of my puppies go as family pets so we require all of our dogs to be well socialized and a sound body. As we are all aware, there are no guarantees in life. Unforeseen tragic events happen to everybody and everything all the time. As a breeder, we’ve taken advantage of what is readily available to us by way of x-raying, ophthalmologist testing, and studying pedigrees of all our stock before breeding to ensure the soundness of this puppy. Our breeding stock is certified clear hips and elbows. OFA states that 40.2 percent of Rottweilers are dysplastic. Breeding only animals with good hips does not change this percentage. We only breed good animals, yet there is always going to be a risk. Certain environmental conditions can aggravate the growth and can make the dysplasia much worse (overweight, jogging, poor food quality, etc). Since that is the case I will only replace a puppy that has severe dysplasia and must be euthanized. Due to hidden recessive genes there is always a small risk of other genetic problems arising. We, as breeders, want all of our puppies on the supplement ESTER C to reduce the risk of hip or elbow dysplasia.
By signing this agreement I/we hereby have read and
understand the above paragraph and acknowledge that there is a small
possibility of a genetic defect in my animal.
